In addition to a broad library of on-demand resources, the following programs are available:
- People Manager Workshops - These two- to four-hour workshops are offered to leaders across the organization and focus on key leadership topics like coaching, delegating, change, emotional intelligence, resolving conflict, influencing stakeholders, valuing differences and strategic decision making. New sessions are added based on demand or as a result of ongoing training needs.
- Leadership Development Program – Approximately 30 directors and senior directors are nominated each year by the senior management team based on potential for continued development as key leaders in the organization. They engage in a mix of learning activities including in-person and virtual workshops, peer learning sessions, a multi-rater 360 feedback tool, and follow up group sessions with certified coaches. This program also provides opportunities to connect with peers and ICE’s senior leadership. Our expectation is that participants will come out of this program with greater levels of competence and confidence as leaders, and with connections that will enable more effective collaboration across the organization.
- Leadership Journeys - These multi-part training programs are offered each year to our managers, senior managers, directors and senior directors. Each journey includes a small group of leaders selected from across the business and focuses on a key leadership competency deemed important based on organizational needs, including results of our employee survey. Programs focus on coaching, feedback and team development. Each program is delivered virtually over a two-to-three-month period and includes opportunities for participants to network with peers.
- Management Training Curriculum – Completion of this program is required for newly promoted managers and senior managers and is a training resource for any current or future leader. Participants complete a series of online videos and courses designed to create a baseline of management and leadership knowledge and set expectations for how to lead at ICE.
- Leadership Development Toolkit - The toolkit identifies the competencies that underlie our core values and the expectations of leaders at ICE. The guide provides recommended learning resources to support the development of leaders. Development guides, online courses and live instructor led workshops are all mapped to each of the leadership competencies.
- Managing Your Career at ICE - This course includes specific steps, strategies, and resources to help employees take charge of their career at ICE. Topics include: ICE core values, defining career goals, creating and implementing career development strategies, developing essential skills, getting career support at ICE and creating a development plan.
- Individual Contributor Workshops – Throughout the year we run one-off workshops to help develop new interpersonal or leadership skills. Topics include decision making, communication, influencing without authority, time management and developing emotional intelligence. New sessions are added based on demand or as a result of ongoing training needs surveys.
- Leadership Challenges - These are scenario-based workshops that provide leaders the opportunity to work with peers and our human resources teams to discuss practical solutions to common leadership challenges.
- Core Values Training - All employees have access to curated resources and online training that help them understand and develop the behaviors that align with our ICE core values.
